Love in 6 Minutes or Less

Strike.TV has struck again! I found a delightful new dating web show called SPEEDIE-DATE which has just premiered online and it’s worth looking into.

For the uninitiated (which might include myself as I’ve been married so long they didn’t have this as an option when I was single), speed dating is an exercise where single men and women spend a short period of time - in this case 6 minutes - chatting with each other to determine if they should….chat for longer periods of time. It makes a weird sort of sense in our fast-paced, multitasking world, I guess. At least it’s human to human and not a completely digital communication exchange!

Episode 1 deals with Heather and Mike at Table 4. It’s sweet and actually, the time does indeed fly by! It’s not nearly enough time to get to know the characters but that’s half the fun.
